This time I would like to tell you the story of how I founded the brand.
I first learned about lab-grown diamonds when I was engaged to my current partner and was choosing my own engagement ring.
I prefer to choose a design that I like, rather than having my partner choose it for me.
My mother advised me that "As you get older, there will be more occasions where a luxurious, eye-catching diamond suits you," so I decided that I wanted a larger ring (0.5ct~1.0ct) and looked at a variety of rings.
When I looked up the price of a large natural diamond ring, I found that it was quite expensive.
Although a ring is a lifetime purchase, if you want to wear it every day and it costs 500,000 to 600,000 yen, you may worry about losing it.
I wondered if it would be more meaningful to spend that kind of money on a honeymoon or other travel experience with my partner if I had that kind of budget.
At that time, I happened to come across a lab-grown diamond ring on an overseas website.
With advances in technology, we have discovered that lab-grown diamonds have exactly the same components as natural diamonds, that even professionals cannot tell the difference by appearance, and that they are also more environmentally friendly than natural diamonds.
Furthermore, I found out that lab-grown diamonds cost 1/3 to 1/2 the price of natural diamonds, so I decided to buy a lab-grown diamond ring. (I asked my partner about the price...^^)
I had it custom made and engraved with the anniversary and my initials.
When I actually received it and tried wearing it, I was surprised at how sparkling it was. I especially enjoyed seeing it sparkle in restaurants and in the street lights after work. The diamonds sparkling in the sunlight in the park under a clear blue sky on a nice day really lifted my spirits.
Somehow it gives me confidence.
When I'm browsing in a jewelry store and a salesperson says to me, "That's a really beautiful diamond," I feel a little happy and privileged.
These beautiful lab-grown diamonds are becoming increasingly popular in countries such as the United States, where a quarter of couples purchase them, but in Japan they still have a strong industrial image as "artificial diamonds" or "synthetic diamonds."
I am free to choose either natural diamonds or lab-grown diamonds, but I began to want to introduce lab-grown diamonds as a wonderful option. I thought that if I could introduce them more, people would be able to enjoy more sparkle in their daily lives.
Enjoying the sparkle of diamonds will make you feel cheerful and confident.
Also, being conscious of the environmental aspect, although it may not be a trend yet, choosing lab-grown diamonds and using your budget for travel or wearing large stones is not a bad choice. It may be a smart choice.
With this in mind, we named our brand BRIGHT & BREEZY.
I believe that the brilliance of diamonds brightens your mood, and that brightness (BREEZY) gives rise to confidence and a smart, cool look (BRIGHT).
