I wanted an oval engagement ring, so I went around to various stores, but I could hardly find any that had it. I managed to find one store, but that store only had 0.3 carats of diamonds as the main stone. I still wanted a larger carat, so I didn't give up and continued looking, and by chance, I found BRIGHT & BREEZY on Instagram.

How was the selection process?

I really wanted to see the actual product and feel at ease, so the staff arranged for me to see it offline in person. Meeting the staff in person gave me peace of mind.

Meet at our Aoyama space in Tokyo

I saw the actual oval type that I was interested in, and I was torn between 0.7ct and 1.0ct. I was wondering if 1.0ct would be too conspicuous, and if I was going to go for the engagement ceremony, I would rather go for the 1.0ct.

I was going for the 1.0ct, but I was told that my comments were too light (laughs).

(I ended up choosing the 1.0ct.)

I liked oval stones, but I also liked rings that were curved in relation to the stone, so I had the designer adjust it. I also asked for my wedding ring to be curved so that it would match when stacked with my engagement ring.

How about actually using it?

The engagement ceremony for both families went well. My friends and parents also praised the ring, saying it was "elegant and beautiful."

As it is something I will wear for the rest of my life, I was hesitant before making the request, but I am glad that I made the new choice of lab-grown diamonds!

I look at the ring many times a day and feel so happy..♡
