②Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method for growing diamond in layers

The CVD method, which is suitable for large, clear diamonds, produces diamonds by piling gaseous carbon molecules on top of sliced ​​diamond seed crystals like a mille-feuille. By applying microwave energy to methane gas containing carbon, diamonds are grown little by little, and the type and amount of chemical impurities can be precisely controlled, making it possible to produce diamonds with high purity.
